"I want share our experience since Jack began going to the newly created Post 21 program run by Sandra and Carolyn. 

As many in our situation probably know too well, when our children approach 21, a very real apprehension sets in.  Is there anything out there for our children that will enrich their lives once they turn 21 and beyond?

From the moment of the intake interview, and since, it was obvious that Sandra and Carolyn care deeply about all the participants in the program. But, even more than that, they have the skill and talent to communicate with our son on a very real and deep level.  They strive to and have created a very focussed program tailored specifically to Jack. A program that focusses on his strengths and finds new ones. As a result, Jack is thriving in the program and beyond and is very happy more communicative than ever. The physical space created is also wonderful. The program has exceeded our expectations.

"We feel that Post 21 has given Ben a real sense of purpose to his days. He has tasks he is responsible for (watering plants and filling the water bottles), he works on his goals (writing independently with writing aids and increasing his vocabulary) and he is able to explore his real interests! 

The staff at Post 21 are focused on what makes Ben tick. He is more engaged in activities than he was in the school system because a program has been geared to just him.  It has given him a fun, comfortable, safe community to become his best self!"
